Survivor: Island of the Idols Draft – Week 4

We’re well and truly into the season and everything rides on the Island of the Idols and whether someone can accomplish their test or fail miserably. So what changed after Episode 4?

This season, I am joined by three former Survivor contestants to draft five players between us. They are: Carolyn Rivera, Survivor: Worlds Apart Co Runner-Up; Jessica Lewis, Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X Contestant; and Bret LaBelle, Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X & The Amazing Race 31 Contestant.

Here are the current standings after Week 4:

Despite not being shown, it was later revealed that this week’s Immunity Challenge was combined with the Reward, so each Vokai tribe member (the tribe that ended up winning) scored 8 points for their respective team. Carolyn picked up 16, for her two Vokai members. Jessica also picked up 16, for her two Vokai members. I managed to take another whopping 32, for having four Vokai members. Bret only took 8, for having only one Vokai member.

Noura was selected to go to the Island of the Idols to meet with Rob and Sandra, and immediately scored 2 points for visiting. She decided to accept their challenge, to persuade her tribe that she should be the caller during the Challenge. However, she failed, and rather than gaining 5 points for winning and gaining an advantage, she lost 2 points, negating her trip to the Island of the Idols, and not adding or subtracting any points for Carolyn’s team.

With Lairo heading to Tribal Council, a blindside seemed imminent after talks of a possible ‘showmance’ shook up the tribe. In the end, it was Chelsea who received the shocking snuff of her torch, and she left the game with an idol in her pocket (two weeks in a row), a one-way ticket to the pre-jury trip, and a 10-point subtraction from Bret’s draft team.

With a tribe swap teased for next week, the point distribution may just change dramatically, after I’ve enjoyed a lovely lead, it may just not last. I currently have 113 points, staying in first, and Carolyn sits 2nd with 71, Jessica in 3rd with 62, and finally Bret stays in last with 41 points. We’ll see what goes down when the players drop their buffs!

The point system used for the draft is as follows.

This draft will be updated weekly as the season progresses.
