Australian Survivor 2019 Draft – Week 5

Change is good they say. Well when it comes to toppling one another in this draft, Sharn and I are seeing our picks slim down and now every challenge win and idol can change who becomes the leader.

For this season, Sharn Coombes, Runner-Up of the 2018 season of Australian Survivor, has agreed to join me in drafting the cast of the 2019 season of Australian Survivor.

Once again, 2 of my players exited the game this week, thankfully Sharn lost Matty to not put her too far ahead. It’s still not looking great for me however, as my numbers are dwindling and Sharn pulls ahead in overall points.

Here are the current standings after Week 5:

Sunday’s episode was pretty standard, I picked up an extra 25 points for Janine and Harry’s idol plays (and find for Harry). Monday night saw Ross medically evacuated from the game, subtracting only 5 points from my total as opposed to the usual 10. With the remaining players making the merge, everyone received 3 points. Daisy winning reward, and finding and playing both an idol and advantage gave Sharn 35 total points alone, whereas I did pick up 10 for Shaun’s immunity win. As Andy got the boot, I dropped those 10 very quickly and Sharn managed to crack the 500 count with 501, but I’m not too far behind on 497.

The point system used for the drafting is as follows.

This draft will be updated weekly as the season progresses.

Stay tuned for Sunday’s full recap and review of the events from this week of Australian Survivor.
